Charisma Cardz & Friday sketchers

Heres my take for this weeks challenge at Charisma Cardz. THis was great fun, I love purple and green. I combined it with a challenge at Friday Sketchers. I played it a bi fast and loose with their sketch, I hope they don't mind. :o)

Heres my take on this weeks challenge at A spoon full of sugar.
This weeks challenge is to use punches and/or diecuts. I used punches to punch out the green and the blue flowers from cardstock.

Sketch & Stash

This is my take on the newest sketch at Sketch and Stash. I am not sure what I think of it yet but it may grow on me. The papers are from the Doodlebug birthday boy collection.

Just Christmas & birthday cards & cute card thursday

Now I hope they don't mind but I played a bit free and loose with this weeks sketch from Just Christmas & Birthday Cards. I thought it would really suit a waterfall card. I will take some pictures of the inside in the morning as the light is really bad at the moment, with it being night and all ;o)
I have combined it with the challenge from Cute Card Thursday which is chocolate and marshmallow.

Cupcake Crafts

Here is my take on this weeks challenge at Cupcake Crafts. The challenge this week was " 1 layer". Other than your card blank and what ever embellishments or image you choose to add, your card must be one layer. A lot harder than it sounds. Most of us matt out patterned paper and to go without that made me feel the card was half naked!. A little lateral thinking later and I came up with this. Who says you cant doodle straight on to your card blank?!?. I found it refreshingly freeing not to mess around measuring little bits of card stock.

The pink elephant & 2 Sketches 4 You

This weeks challenge at The Pink Elephant was a colour challenge. Pink, Green and Yellow. Well I have to say that this combination struck fear into the depths of my heart. I have and never will be a "pastel" girl, I love my colours strong and bold, so I have to say this challenge stumped me. In the end I combined this challenge with another from 2 sketches 4 You. The sketch this week is gorgeous and so full of possibilities. I dug out some green and pink ribbon that has been lurking in my stash for months and just messed around until I came up with this. I really like how it came out and I managed to use up some of the embroidery Floss that I accumulated about a year ago.

This is my take on the newest sketch at Mojo Monday. Pink and black will always be one of my favorite combinations and I love the way this card turned out.

This is my take on the newest sketch at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards. This was a great sketch to use up the last of my Basic Grey scraps that I have been hording. Their papers are so yummy I end up keeping even the smallest scraps.

Heres my take on the sketch at Cupcake Craft Challenges. I couldn't get the circles to work for me so I changed them to this shape. Loving bright pink and turquoise at the moment and I have finally got myself a new white gel pen. :o)

Cupcake craft challenge

I can't seam to leave these challenges alone!. Logan has had the serious grumbles tonight and as you can see I am still awake at this ungodly hour.
The Cupcake challenge was to create a card using glitter. Well Im not a girly girl by a long shot so this one was a little harder than expected but I like what I came up with. I have had the black glittery heart in my stash for a while waiting for the right card. Sorry for the fuzzy picture, I must work out the settings on my camera.

Mojo Monday

I decided to give a challenge a go this week and I have to say i'm hooked! This is my entry for Mojo Monday. The designers there are incredible and very inspiring.

DCWV

I set myself a challenge yesterday. Could I make at least fifteen cards that I liked using only what came in DCWVs vintage card kit in a stack? I allowed two things from my stash per card but limited that to ribbons, brads and other small accessories. No stamps or anything large that would distract from the papers. Its more of a challenge than I thought it would be but I wanted to see if it was possible. The kit comes with twenty card blanks, 191 stickers (sounds a lot but most are alphas) and 5 coordinating papers. No envelopes though. Well...I don't think that I did too badly as I managed eighteen, not all of which I liked but all of which I would be happy to send out. Its nice to have a stash of cards that I can send in a card emergency.

Lack of Mojo

I have been very uninspired of late. My mojo seemed to have wandered off but I think its on its way home as after a evening spent surfing. I came across two inspiring blogs, both of which are linked in my worthwhile reading section. I have been inspired to dig out the stash and experiment again. I have been buried under the tedious but enjoyable task of making Christmas cards which, after you have made your 50th starts to kill off any joy you had for the project. But they are all done now and I feel like playing again. Lets hope that my 10 week old son recovers a little from his cold and gives me some “play” time.
