Another Layout!

I have been collecting digi-scrap from a long time. Before I found scrapbooking I was involved quite heavily in the PSP tagging community. For those who have no idea what im on about a tag is a signature that you put on the end of an email, a forum post or anything you like really. These were mainly pictures called tubes with your name added. PSP stands for Paint Shop Pro. Buried deep in this blog are a few I posted along time ago. I have only ever used digi-scrap for tags....until today. I couldn't find the right paper in my stash to match these photos so I turned to my trusty laptop and printed some off! And I have to say it came out very nicely.

Dummy

My creative side can be very hit and miss sometimes. I love to mess around with paper and glue but every once in a while it starts to feel like a chore instead of a joyous and fulfilling hobby. Usually after my 50th Christmas card.

But today I was inspired by a wonderful group of ladies who run the challenge blog Scrap Schemes . i stumbled across this blog while hopping and was so inspired by there scheme 10 challenge that I had to give it a go. Here is my attempt. Its about my little boys growing fixation with his dummy.

Lemmings

Something always goes wrong at Christmas doesn’t it? People queue for miles to return the broken presents, screaming child in toe wishing they were at home. Charlies new 360 game went wrong so we had to join the masses in the line for returns. Luckily we managed to miss the traffic and exchanged the game with minimal fuss. We even had time to nip in to toys r us to pick up a cot bumper for Logans nursery.

I couldn’t help but get a little frustrated by the stupidity of people on mass. They all queue like lemmings, shuffling forward complaining that they should open another till, that they will be late for some appointment of divine importance. They came to what is always a very busy shop on one of the busiest days of the year. Did they really think that they wouldn’t have to queue? The only conclusion I can come to is that some people are either very dumb or so egotistical that they believe that the armful of cheap toys they are trying to buy for their spoilt children really matters to a corporation as big as toys r us. I didn’t mind queuing at all. I got to stand there and pull faces at my little boy while he laughed and smiled. Not a bad way to pass the time.

Boxing day

Anyone who knows Bristol will know that my next statement is complete madness. Anyone who lives near or has ever been to a large shopping centre will also know its complete madness.

I went to the Mall

I went to the Mall on boxing day

I went to the Mall on boxing day during the sales.

The Mall is a huge shopping centre in Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts of Bristol. It has been in the local news recently due to the complete gridlock that happens nearly every year around Christmas time. I have been stuck before for over four hours and my brother got stuck on Monday for nearly five hours. But for some ungodly reason it seamed like a very good idea to head to the Mall this afternoon. We packed up the car, prepared for a long queue and

Nothing.

The roads were empty. I thought for a moment that maybe the Mall was closed, it was that quiet. Forty five minutes I am the proud owner of a new handbag, Charlie has a new game for his 360 and I’ve bought some Christmas scrapbooking stuff for the stash. Not bad going really.

Charlie and I decided to celebrate our good fortune with McDonalds. Yum.

I love going to my parents for tea. Mum always does way to much food and I get a little peace and quiet because dad can’t leave Logan alone. Granny and her friend Tom joined us and a good time was had by all. Logan laughed and smiled at everyone, his usual charming self.

I can’t believe Christmas is over.

Christmas day

Today is Logans first Christmas. I feel it should have arrived with more fanfare than it did but as the little man is only eleven weeks old he has no idea what is going on anyway.

We spent this Christmas day with my parents. It wasn’t their “turn” but as it was little mans first Christmas my parents wanted to play at being grandparents and, to be honest it was the easy way out. My mum, though not the worlds best cook always over feeds us. And I know that Jay and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Logan was generally fussed over and spoilt rotten the entire day and I am truly envious of some of his presents. He got some very cute clothes and lots of rattle type toys but my favourite and his is the Glow Worm that my brother bought him. I had one myself when I was a little girl and I love that thing to death. I carried it nearly everywhere and I still have it in the attic at my parent’s house. We didn’t stay too long as Logan was starting to get grouchy. By 7:00pm I was curled up on the sofa with a blanket watching Austin Powers drawing rude pictures on my new etcha-sketch (thank you Jay)

Christmas eve

Do you think that its strange that a 29 year old woman has spent most of her Christmas eve tracking Santa on google earth?

I have been showing Logan Santas journey across the world. He doesn't seem to care that much. But then again he is only 11 weeks old

Have a great Christmas readers....if there are any of you

Monday, Monday.

Mum and dad came over again to do some odd jobs for me and of course to fuss over their grandson. Dad fixed the banister that I broke when I fell and mum picked up a prescription for Logan. When they left Logan and I spent the rest of the day playing and resting until we had to pick up Charlie. In the evening we did nothing.

It was wonderful.

Dirty little stop out

My Fridays are usually spent with my mother doing my food shopping and wandering around the shops killing time and spending dads money. This Friday was hectic as not only did I spend time with my mother I also had the girls over for dinner. I spent the morning with my mum. We went to Yate, picked up my new glasses and did my food shopping. My new glasses are very foxy, suit me down to the ground and I love them to bits. I left mums about 1:00 pm and headed for my friend Jans house. I love Jan, she is one of my favourite people and you can guaranty that you will get un-abridged honesty. Some people find her a little hard to take because of this but I love her for it. My visit to Jans is our little secret, we wanted to spend some time together without having to temper our conversation and she loves to have little Logan all to herself for a little while. I left to pick Charlie up at 3:45pm, took him to my mums then headed back to Jans. Charlie went off to play Gears of War 4 with my brother Jay at his place while I had the girls round. Kim and Leila showed up at Jans about 6:00 pm and we all headed back to mine for an evening of debauchery in Wales. Much merriment was had. I cooked and we sat around chatting and entertaining Logan until about 11:30 pm when I kicked everyone out so that I could go and pick Charlie up from Jays. Logan had had enough by then and was seriously over stimulated. I rang Charlie from mums when I arrived there and his phone was off. Deciding that Charlie could look after himself I decided to go to bed. I woke up at 9:00 am to a cold and empty bed. My dirty little stop out of a husband had been up all night playing computer games with my brother. He enjoyed himself and I got a good nights sleep so no harm done. We spent a little time around Jays so that him and his girlfriend Katie cound both coo over Logan then headed off to get some food. We spent the rest of the day being lazy, watching films and playing with Logan. Charlie's friends Paul and Nick came over in the evening to meet Logan and to see us before Christmas. Nick spends most of the year in Italy so it was great to see him. We played rock band all evening. Not a bad start to the weekend.

DCWV

I set myself a challenge yesterday. Could I make at least fifteen cards that I liked using only what came in DCWVs vintage card kit in a stack? I allowed two things from my stash per card but limited that to ribbons, brads and other small accessories. No stamps or anything large that would distract from the papers. Its more of a challenge than I thought it would be but I wanted to see if it was possible. The kit comes with twenty card blanks, 191 stickers (sounds a lot but most are alphas) and 5 coordinating papers. No envelopes though. Well...I don't think that I did too badly as I managed eighteen, not all of which I liked but all of which I would be happy to send out. Its nice to have a stash of cards that I can send in a card emergency.

Lack of Mojo

I have been very uninspired of late. My mojo seemed to have wandered off but I think its on its way home as after a evening spent surfing. I came across two inspiring blogs, both of which are linked in my worthwhile reading section. I have been inspired to dig out the stash and experiment again. I have been buried under the tedious but enjoyable task of making Christmas cards which, after you have made your 50th starts to kill off any joy you had for the project. But they are all done now and I feel like playing again. Lets hope that my 10 week old son recovers a little from his cold and gives me some “play” time.

Bread and Butter pudding

This is one of my favorite recipes and is so easy to make. Be prepared to make a mess though.

Ingredients

A large panettone
125g softened unsalted butter
175g sultanas
125g demerara sugar
Zest of 1 lemon
1/2 level teaspoon ground mixed spice
300ml whole milk
300ml double cream
2 medium eggs
Large ovenproof dish, buttered

1. set the oven to 180c or gas mark 4. Slice the panettone and butter one side. Cut each slice in to triangles. Mix together the sultanas, sugar, lemon zest and mixed spice. Arrange half the panettone, butter side up, in the oven proof dish and sprinkle over half of the fruit mixture.Press down gently. Top with the remaining panattone and scatter the remaining fruit mixture on top.

2. Beat together the milk, cream and eggs and then pour the mixture through a sieve over the panettone. Leave the pudding to stand for at least 30 minutes so that the panettone absorbs some of the liquid.

3. Place the dish on a baking tray, and bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes, until the top is golden, the edges of the panettone start to crisp and the custard has set in the center. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Great with custard or cream
Not suitable for freezing

God bless dad's

I don't know how I would get on with out my dad. He does most of the DIY around my house, looks after my car and lends me money when I plead enough. Today my dad took the day of work so that he could come round and do all the annoying little jobs that my husband and I don't have the time or the technical knowledge to do. I think my dad may have used these jobs as an excuse though as he spent every spare moment playing with Logan. My dad loves being a grandfather. So between fixing the central heating, putting up new kitchen lights, fixing the kitchen work surface, changing a light bulb, putting up a coat rack and taking out all the rubbish he terrorized my son. And Loved every minute of it.

Blog candy

I discovered something new (to me anyway) yesterday while blog hopping. I love crafters blogs and have linked to a few of my favorites under worthwhile reading. They are all very passionate about their chosen craft and I cant help but admire that. Not only do they inspire me to dig out some forgotten item from my stash but they are so generous. They often run something called "blog candy". Prizes of crafty goodies for a randomly selected comment. When I came across this concept I was lost for words, such a generous and kind spirit. I can not thank this ladies and gentlemen enough for reaffirming my belief in people, that sometimes people just want to make you smile. It doesn't matter if they know you are not. Theres nothing like spreading a little happiness. I am touched by there unselfish actions. A rarity in todays society.

Sunday girl

I used to live for the weekends. Like most of the working world my weekend used to mean freedom from the stress and aggravation of having to produce something that will appease the boss. My weekend mean something very different now. In my world they don't exist any more. There is still house work to do, still a baby to look after and still a husband to clean up after. No more Friday night drinks. No more Saturdays shopping and wasting time with my friends. No more lazy Sunday's nursing a hangover and watching films in my pajamas. Those days are gone and have been replaced with something that maybe more mature, more worthwhile but damn, it's nowhere near as fun. My Friday nights are now filled with washing and making up feeds, looking after my son and trying to get a head start on all the little jobs I have to do so that by Sunday I can just sit and enjoy what little time we have together as a family. My Saturdays and no longer spent chatting with my friends and wandering round the mall, but spent fighting my way around the supermarket because i have forgotten something. My Saturday nights are not filled with drunken revelry but with late night feeds and bad 80s buddy cop movies. My Sundays though, if I have planned it right will be filled with films and cuddling on the sofa. It doesn't happen as much as I would like as my husband is more often than not sat at his pc working on something that I can only guess at. The world and your life changes. You can fight it and you can bemoan your fate or you can stop and enjoy what you have. I may not have the freedom of my youth but I have a man who I love more than live who I know feels the same, I have a son who smiles when he sees me and I have a big ass tv for watching those bad 80s buddy cop movies.

The Films Of My Past

I woke up today with a bit of a cold so decided that I was going to have a duvet day. Well best laid plans of mice and men, my duvet day didn’t exactly go to plan. I ended up doing a load of house work, looking after a very grumpy baby then driving my hubby to Homebase so that he could work on his costume for New Years Eve.
Logan woke up with a little bit of a cold himself so understandably he has been super grumpy and cuddley all day. I don’t mind the cuddles but as I feel like shit myself I would just love to curl up and sleep. In the end I ended up on the sofa watching Willow. But my retro viewing didn’t end there. I watched Krull followed by Legend and loved every second. There is something about re-watching the beloved films of my teenage years to make a girl feel better. I loved Willow so much when I was young (the film not the little man that plays Willow)that I named my pet rabbit after it. Krull was as bad yet as good as I remembered. The blind Emerald seer is still just as creepy as I remember and I can see now where my slightly goth sense of style came from as I still want to be the widow of the web as badly as I did when I was a girl.Legend is going to need a second watch as I was too busy cringing at the off key singing and trying not to laugh at Tom Cruises awful acting and even worse costume. What kind of muppet goes in to battle wearing only the top half of your armour? I guess one that thinks he has great legs.

I hate picking new glasses

Why does walking in to an Opticians fill me with dread? I have worn glasses since before I can remember so I should be used to the degradation of the silly plastic glasses and the mild disgust and discomfit of having someone breathe in your face while flashing a light in to your eyes. This time was no exception, I felt silly and uncomfortable through most of the test but the good new is that my eyes have gotten a little better. This means that I now have thinner lenses and fashionable glasses are within my reach. So down the stairs I trot, new prescription in hand to pick out new frames for a fairly uninspiring collection. Stairs and no lift! I glad mum was with me or I would have been stuck as I had Logan with me in the push chair but thats a rant for a later date. Buried in a collection of so called fashionable frames I managed to find a pair that not only suit me but that I love. Its just a shame that I have to wait until next Friday to pick them up before I can show them off. A picture will follow as they are too hard to describe.

Turning the air blue

Hot Fuzz

I had a lazy day today. Had a list of things to do a mile long but decided that I didn’t have the energy for any of them so watched Hot Fuzz and worked on my crotchet. I am trying to organise a little get together with my friends before Christmas. All my friends have such busy lives, trying to find a date when we are all free is difficult.

9.12.08

Jabs

My little boy Logan had his first set of ejections today. I’m not sure who was more shaken up by it, him or me. He gave out a little cry but was very good, and me? Well I had to close my eyes. I couldn’t bare the idea that my little boy was going to be hurt. He was a bit grumbly for the rest of the day but other that the occasional need for a cuddle he was as good as gold. I still managed to get my Christmas cards written though, off in the post tomorrow.

6.12.08

I Love Fridays

I love Fridays because I get to spend them with my mum. Today we went to Yate shopping. I am having my wedding dress cleaned so that I can sell it so we dropped that off first then wandered around the stores. Mum brought me a pair of knee high boots in Evans despite dads instructions not to spend too much money then we headed to Woolworths. As Woolworths is about to go bust everything in there is on sale. We picked up a few outstanding Christmas presents and a couple of things for Logan. We had a quick lunch at Mcdonalds then went home to see dad. Dad finally fitted the base for Logans car seat in for me and a little mirror on the rear headrest so that I can see Logan in my rear view when I drive. Dad babysat for me so that mum and I could go to Tescos food shopping. I now have a nice full fridge and freezer. No more gazing vacantly into the fridge praying that the food fairy has been overnight. I have new shoes now all I need is a good nights sleep.

5.12.08

Muppets

Thursday is my day, the day when I do as little as possible.
I started work on my Christmas cards and introduced Logan to one of my favourite films. The muppet Christmas carol. The perfect film to watch while I make my cards. I am finding it hard to get into the spirit of things this year. Because we don’t have a lot of money I feel like our options have become limited. But with Logan around we seem to be more in demand, last year we could have disappeared off the planet and it wouldn’t have mattered too much but this year has already started getting complicated. Charlie’s dad is heading off to Spain for Christmas so I’m not sure when we are going to see him. I am really looking forward to New Year though. We are going to a cosplay evening. I plan to resurrect an old New Year costume from a previous year, a geisha costume. So as much as I like Christmas, I’m hoping it goes quickly.

Being A Mother

Just another ordinary, average day. After dropping Charlie off at work I came home and tidied up the havoc that one eight week old baby and one lazy husband can cause. The fridge is looking decidedly bare already but that will have to wait till Friday when I am going food shopping with my mum. Logan has once again been a complete angel sleeping six hours allowing me to get all my little jobs done and have a little me time.
One of my best friends sent me a text to day. It read like this

A mum has strengths that no one will ever know.
She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.
She holds happiness, love and opinions.
She smiles when she feels like screaming.
She sings when she feels like crying.
Cries when she is happy and laughs when she is afraid.
Her love is unconditional.
There is only one thing wrong with her.
She sometimes forgets what she is worth.
Pass this on to every beautiful mum you know.
I just did x.

When I read this I nearly started crying. I think it sums up everything my mother is. That was when it hit me, I am now a mother. I loved my son from the minute I saw him as a little blob on a ultra sound but it wasn’t until that very moment that I realised that I was a mother. Logan will be looking to me that same way that I look to my mother and it’s a massive task. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother. We may have clashed on occasion but from the moment I found I was pregnant we have been very close. I hope that I can love and support Logan as much as my mother does me. One thing I do know is that I love my son with my whole being and I will stop at nothing to make him happy. I may not be the best mother but I will try damn hard.

The Mystery Of The Empty Fridge

Why is it that every morning after taking Charlie to work I come home and stare into the fridge as if it contains some mystical relic? I can never choose anything for breakfast so end up having something completely inappropriate. This morning breakfast consisted of bbq beef flavour hula hoops, a ham and cheese toastie, diet coke and a sterling kingsize. Not the most nutritious of ways to start the day.
In the morning I did very little. Logan slept for 5 hours between feeds and I only woke him up because he had his 6-8 week medical at 1.15 and I wanted to give him a bath. Once again I spent a few hours doing housework and then sorted out our Christmas presents.
Logan flew through his medical with out a problem. He is a health bouncy 12 pound 10 ounces, his hearing and vision are good as well as his spine and hips. He does have a little baby eczema so I will be off tomorrow to get him some E45. But other than that we have the perfect if a little large baby.
After tea, while having a quick rest and eating some ice cream Charlie showed me a set of cd cases he had obviously been working on for a long time. They were wonderful but I couldn’t help but wonder if this was a sign of a fundamental difference between men and women or a least between my husband and I. Having a baby around takes pretty much all of my time and keeping our house upstraight takes up the rest. When I do manage to get some “me” time I spend it either with my parents or I do something that will benefit both of us, like painting the kitchen. It seems obvious to me that when my husband gets his “me” time, which may I add he gets a lot more than me, he spend working solely on thing that will improve his life. Now either he is being selfish or I am not being selfish enough? I’m not sure that I really want to know the answer to that question so instead of pondering it too closely im going to steal a little me time and watch a little Bill Bailey.

Tips For Future Parents

Top tips for parents to be

1. Buy twice as many vests and baby grows than the books tell you. Logan has about 25 of each and I can tell you at times it is a life savour. That way you don’t have to do washing everyday and your baby will always have something to change in to when they decide to spit up on them selves.

2. Buy a pack of Muslin cloths. They come in large packs and are usually found with the reusable nappies. I use these to wipe up spit up or milk spillages. They can go in the washing machine and are a lot cheaper than using a wet wipe every time Logan dribbles.

3. Don’t buy too many nappies before your little one is born. There are great offers out there and it can be tempting to stock up but your little one may be the wrong shape for that brand of nappy. Logan used Pampers when we were in hospital but he kept leaking, I changed him to huggies and not a problem since.

4. Buy twice as many thick maternity pads than you think you will need. The guide books, or at least the ones I read told me to get two packs which I did. These lasted roughly three days and you should have seen the look on my husbands face when I asked him to get me some more. Even if you don’t have stitches you will be brused and sore and I found, especially at night that if I doubled them up I could actually get comfortable and there were no little accidents. All in all I went through six packs of the thick pads and two packs of the thin ones.

5. Pack three bags for your hospital stay. You will be surprised how much you need and lugging it all around with you can be a hassle. I packed one bag for labour, one for my hospital stay and one for coming home. When my mum came to visit she took the labour bag home along with anything I didn’t need and bought my going home bag in.

6. Pack lots of drinks and snack bars in your labour and hospital stay bags. Most hospitals will let you eat in early onset labour and I found it reassuring to do something normal. Once you have had your baby and are feeling battered and brused the one thing you are not going to want to do is wander around in the middle of the night trying to find a vending machine because your starving after having fed your baby. Don’t pack anything fizzy though, just water. You fill feel the benefits when you go to the loo.

7. If your baby is due in the winter, while you are pregnant the shops will be filled with irresistible summer clothes that you know will not be practical for the season your baby is born in. I found it hard to prepare in advance as Logan was due in the October until I discovered long sleeved baby vests. A pack of these meant that he could still wear the cute short sleeved outfits that were in the shops and still be warm enough. The added bonus is that his clothes last him that little bit longer, instead of having to put them away as impractical he can now just grow out of them instead.

8. Try and buy babygrows with attached scratch mitts. Logan throws his off with regular inevitability and I lost more than I could count. If they are attached to the babygrow he can’t lose them and if he gets a little warm they just fold back.

9. Take full advantage of your nesting instinct. When your little one arrives time becomes very precious and you don’t want to miss his first smile because you are dusting. Try and get your washing up straight and do all those little jobs that have been bugging you. It will be easier to maintain a tidy house and you won’t cringe when people come over to see you. Enlist the help of friends and family, they won’t mind a bit.

10. Buy a changing box and keep a set of changing gear in the most used areas of the house. Logan sleeps in a moses basket next to our bed so there is a small basket next to our bed for night changes with nappies, wet wipe, nappy bags, nappy cream and a change of clothes in it. As my husband goes to bed early for work I keep a box downstairs with the same in so that we don’t disturb him in the evening. I keep all the bulk of Logans stuff in his nursery and go round and re stock every morning so that I don’t have to run around looking for something.

11. If you are breastfeeding, put a fresh breast pad in on the side you are not feeding from. The stimulation of one breast may trigger the other to leak. Not pleasant and can be uncomfortable.

12. If you are bottle feeding buy a bottle warmer. I take mine upstairs with me when we go to bed so that I don’t have to go downstairs to warm Logan’s feed in the night. That way I can change his nappy and comfit him while I wait for it to warm.

Blog Issues

I am suffering serious blog issues. Not only is this in danger of become a serious obsession but I have spent many an hour trying to decide on an appropriate design to high light my inane ramblings. Using the handily placed next blog button I have been surfing through peoples blogs trying to get an idea of the possibilities. One thing I have discovered is that some people put a great effort in to there blogs where other do little to nothing to theirs but all these blogs have one thing in common, Heart. Nearly every one I looked at the author had put there lives, honestly and with out apology on the net for all the world to read. I can’t help but admire that and hope that I can live up to their example.

The Reindeer Suit

I ventured out with my mum today, to try and get the last of my Christmas shopping done. I know my son is only 7 weeks old but I really wanted to get him a little Christmas present. He won’t appreciate it, play with it or even know what it is for at least another two months but as it is his first Christmas I wanted to give him something. So off to mothercare I troop, his doting grandmother in tow. One of the benefits of being a mother is parent and child parking spaces. I still get a little thrill from parking in one. I love mothercare, its full of temptation for a new mum. With Logan being my first its very hard to resist the temptation not to dress him very silly outfits and mothercare have their fair share of them. As it is Christmas you can now dress your child as a reindeer, a snowman, a penguin or even a Christmas pudding. Everything in me tells me that they are just awful, tacky and hideous and that I should never consider dressing my little boy in such a demeaning outfit but somewhere along the lines, probably during my stay in hospital these outfits became impossibly cute. I think they must have given me too many drugs. It seems that by becoming a mother somewhere along the way I have lost all sense of style. You will be pleased to here that I didn’t buy my son a novelty outfit as you see there is no need. His auntie Emma has beaten me to it. She bought him a reindeer outfit last week and as much as I hate to admit it, it is unbearably cute and he will look adorable on Christmas day.
After picking Charlie up from work and fighting my way through the traffic at Aztec west, we come home to a very cold house because once again we have run out of gas. I can’t get on with having a card meter, we keep running out because I forget to check if there is money left on it. Because I have been out all day there is a very bored and hungry cat waiting for me along with a mountain of housework. I gave Fincher our cat double food before I went out but, the little pig that he is, he had eaten it all in one go and was meowing like mad when I got in for his next lot. So I feed him then ran around for the next two hours doing all the little jobs that it takes to keep a three bed house tidy when you have a new born and a very messy husband. I swear I have never done so much washing in my entire life than I have done since Logan was born. He seems to spit up on everything regardless of how much I wind him. So he has about three changes a day, that along with the sheets and blankets he inevitably spits up on as well means I’m washing at least one load every other day. Add in all the washing that two adults create, usually with spit up down the shoulder, I always have washing to do. All that said I love seeing Logan’s baby clothes drying on the radiators or on the line. It just feels so mumsy knowing that im looking after my little man. Oddly enough my husband’s boxers on the radiator do not instil such warm feelings, go figure.
In between the bottle warmings, the washing and the nappies I managed to squeeze a little time to work on one of my projects. I have been working on many craft projects for months and tonight I finally managed to get some time to work on a crochet afghan that I have been adding to for months. Worked in light cherry shades it comprises of ten different pattern blocks. I’m making ten of each of these to make up one hundred. So far I have about fifty so half way there. Pictures to follow soon, hopefully when I have it completed. I am hoping to have it finished by Christmas but as the festive season gets closer I must start work on my Christmas cards. Just another job for tomorrow.
